Make a Camera Dolly

Line 1: Line 1: −

With the proliferation of inexpensive film making equipment, the amateur film making scene has grown exponentially.  Today it is easier than ever for artists with little money or experience to realize their dream of making a film.  However, some equipment still remains expensive to purchase or even rent.  This should not discourage amateur film makers, as making your own equipment is a cost effective way of compensating for a lack of finances.  One of the more standard pieces of equipment is the camera dolly, which allows a camera to smoothly move on one plane.  Here are some steps to follow when constructing a camera dolly to be used specifically for tripod-mounted cameras.
